How Beagle handles your data.

Last updated 26 May 2026

Beagle reads your team’s Slack and Teams workspaces so it can draft work for you. We treat that access as a loan, not a gift. This page tells you what we collect, what we do with it, and what we will never do.

What we collect

When you connect Beagle, we receive the messages, channels, files, and threads in the workspaces you grant. We also receive account-level metadata - your name, email, role, and the workspace IDs needed to call back to Slack or Teams.

We do not crawl outside the surfaces you grant. If you only connect one Slack workspace, we never see another.

What we do with it

We use the data to do the work you hired us to do: surface context, draft replies, answer questions. Drafts wait for your approval before they go anywhere. Beagle never speaks on behalf of a person without an explicit human-in-the-loop sign off.

What we do not do

  • We do not sell your data. We do not rent your data. We do not ship it to data brokers.
  • We do not use your private messages to train foundation models. Aggregated, de-identified product analytics are the only thing that flows back into our roadmap.
  • We do not let other customers see your data. Each workspace’s memory is isolated by tenant.

Subprocessors

We rely on a small set of vendors to run the service - hosting, model providers, observability, and email. A current list is available on request at privacy@heybeagle.com. We sign data-processing addenda with each.

Retention & deletion

When you disconnect a workspace or close your account, we delete the connected content within thirty days. Backups age out within ninety. If you want a faster purge, write to us and we will do it.

Security

Data in transit is TLS-encrypted. Data at rest is AES-encrypted. Access to production is least-privilege and audited. We are working through SOC 2 Type I - a report will be linked here when it is signed.

Your rights

If you are in the EU, UK, or California, you can ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Write to privacy@heybeagle.com and we will respond within thirty days.

Changes

When we change this policy in a material way we will email the admin on each connected workspace at least seven days before the change takes effect.
