New - the email channel

Beagle answers its email.

The teammate that lives in your Slack now has an inbox. Email it a task, forward it a thread, reply to keep going - same Beagle, same memory, same tools.

Already hired? beagle@hi.heybeagle.com - write from the address you signed up with.

Send it like you’d send any email.

No app, no tab, no prompt box. Beagle replies on the same thread, from wherever you are.

What’s the state of Northwind before Friday’s call? On my phone, bullet points are fine.

BeagleRe:9:15

$48k auto-renews Friday. Champion left in March; Sam Okafor is the new contact. I drafted the re-intro - it’s in your Gmail drafts, say the word and I’ll send it.

Things worth emailing it.

Anything you’d ask in a DM works by email - and a few things feel more natural here.

How the inbox works.

01

One address

Write to beagle@hi.heybeagle.com from the email you signed up with. That's the whole setup - no app to install, no new tool for your team to learn.

02

The same Beagle

Email isn't a second bot. It's the teammate from your Slack, with the same memory, the same connected tools, and the same working rules you've already taught it.

03

Private by design

Your email thread is a DM: stored in your own private space, invisible to teammates, and mail from addresses Beagle doesn't know is dropped without a reply.

04

Good to know.

What is Beagle's email address?

beagle@hi.heybeagle.com. Any teammate with a Beagle account can write to it directly, forward threads to it, or reply to its messages - it answers on the same thread.

Who can email Beagle?

Anyone on your team with a Beagle account, writing from the email address they signed up with. Mail from unknown addresses is dropped silently - no reply, no credits spent, nothing to probe.

Is email Beagle different from Slack Beagle?

No - it is the same teammate on a second channel. Same memory, same connected tools, same working rules. Ask for something by email and it can still act in Slack, HubSpot, Notion or any other connected tool.

Can other people see my email thread with Beagle?

No. Your email conversation is a private DM, stored in your own space like a Slack DM - teammates and admins can't read it.

Can I send Beagle attachments?

Not yet - attachments are on the way. For now Beagle reads the text of your email (including forwarded threads) and will tell you when something arrived that it couldn't open.

Does it work with my mail app?

Yes. It's plain email - Gmail, Outlook, Apple Mail, your phone's mail app, anything that can send a message. Replies come back threaded, so the conversation stays in one place.
